New Rules for Recycling Electronic Devices
The PA Department of Environmental Protection is advising consumers and businesses of new rules for recycling electronic devices that will take effect on January 24, 2013. Enacted in 2010, the Pennsylvania Covered Device Recycling Act prohibits the disposal of covered devices (such as computers, laptops, monitors and televisions) with residential trash.
More information on the covered device recycling act is available at www.dep.state.pa.us keyword: Electronics Recycling.
Did you know that Bushkill Township is a recycling mandated community? The Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) requires Bushkill Township residents and businesses to recycle.
Residents are required to recycle aluminum, glass, newsprint and yard waste (leaves, branches, etc.).
Businesses are required to recycle aluminum, corrugated paper, high grade office paper and yard waste (leaves, branches, etc.).
Occasionally, Northampton County plans electronics recycling drop-off events.
For further details on E-Cycling events, contact Serena Davis, Environmental Services Coordinator, County of Northampton email@example.com or call 610.829.6332 for more information.
